LANXESS subsidiary Saltigo GmbH has addressed the increased global demand for CGMP capacities in the fine chemicals industry by upgrading a production plant at its integrated site in Leverkusen at a cost of around EUR 10 million. The custom manufacturing specialist is producing active pharmaceutical ingredients in these facilities, which meet CGMP standards.

From September 30 to October 2, Saltigo GmbH will showcase its services as a global service provider in the field of exclusive custom synthesis at the specialist fair CPhI 2008 in Frankfurt. The company is geared primarily towards customers in the pharmaceutical, agrochemical and specialty chemicals industries.
Saltigo is capable of performing syntheses at many different scales – using laboratory glass equipment but also large scale production units, among them reactors up to a volume of many cubic metres made of steel, glass-lined steel and special alloys.
