More than just numbers
Financial Management at LANXESS covers the Group Functions (GF) Accounting, Treasury, Internal Auditing, Investor Relations and Tax. In the Accounting Group Function the main job is to provide financial information to control the company and for the capital markets, as well as ensuring that the respective corporate processes are in place. This includes the definition, description and support of globally standardised processes and parameters as well as setting out the Group's financial statements and supporting the subsidiaries.
The Treasury Group Function is responsible for the group-wide financial risk and liquidity management as well as for positioning LANXESS in the debt capital markets. The main tasks here are cash flow planning, the determining and monitoring worldwide risk positions for, among other things, currencies, interest, commodities and energy prices, as well as pension assets and all other group financing activities. A sound financial management in dynamic and volatile markets has become an important success factor for internationally-operating groups.
Further training assignments can also include the Group Functions Internal Auditing, Investor Relations or Tax.
A fixed element of your training program is also at least one foreign assignment lasting several months in one of our international group companies. The Finance Trainee Program opens up opportunities for you to join the internationally-organised financial organisation at LANXESS. One of your main responsibilities will be to support the operating business of the global Business Units. The focus of your activities will be driven by an eye for the feasible, the strict adherence to global Governance Regulations and the achievement of strategic corporate objectives.
Which prerequisites must you meet to apply for the Finance Trainee Program?
- A very good degree in economic sciences with a specialisation in controlling, financial accounting or accounting.
- You already have practical experience with a subject-related vocational training period or relevant internships completed during your degree or have up to three years' work experience in an industrial corporation.
- You already have initial international experience with a foreign semester or internship.
- Your personal qualities include a visionary and strategic approach as well as distinct team and communications skills.
- You see yourself as creative and analytical; you demonstrate initiative and have a high sense of responsibility.
- You are fluent in written and spoken German and English. Knowledge of another foreign language is an asset.
